Dear God,
I give this day to You.
May my mind stay centered on the things of spirit.
May I not be tempted to stray from love.
As I begin this day, I open to receive You.
Please enter where You already abide.
May my mind and heart be pure and true, and
may I not deviate from the things of goodness.
May I see the love and innocence in all
mankind, behind the masks we all wear and
the illusions of this worldly plane.
I surrender to You my doings this day.
I ask only that they serve You and
the healing of the world.
May I bring Your love and goodness with me,
to give unto others wherever I go.
Make me the person You would have me be.
Direct my footsteps, and show me what
You would have me do.
Make the world a safer, more beautiful place.
Bless all Your creatures.
Heal us all, and use me, dear Lord, that I
may know the joy of being used by You.
Amen.

A Prayer for Cleansing

1 Have mercy upon me, O God, according
to thy loving-kindness: according unto
the multitude of thy tender mercies blot
out my transgressions.
2 Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I acknowledge my transgressions:
and my sin is ever before me.
4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned,
and done this evil in thy sight: that
thou mightest be justified when thou
speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.
5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity;
and in sin did my mother conceive me.
6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward
parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt
make me to know wisdom.
7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean:
wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8 Make me to hear joy and gladness;

17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit:

thou wilt not despise.
18 Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion:
build thou the walls of Jerusalem.
19 Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices
of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole
burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks
upon thine altar.

Gratitude

"Give Me the gift of a brave and thankful heart. Man proves his greatness
by his power to see causes for thankfulness in his life.
When life seems hard, and troubles crowd, then very definitely look for
causes for thankfulness.
The sacrifice, the offering of thanksgiving, is indeed a sweet incense
going up to Me through the busy day.
Seek diligently for the something to be glad and thankful about in
every happening, and soon no search will be required.
The causes for joy and gratitude will spring to greet your loving hearts."

He Will Rescue You

"The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler,
and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised:
so shall I be saved from mine enemies."

My Prayer for Today

"Lord, it is true that You have worked so many miracles in my life.
If I were to try to recount all the times You have saved me, delivered
me, rescued me, gotten me out of trouble, put me on a right path, and
blessed me when I didn't deserve it, I wouldn't have enough time to
recite them all! So how could I ever question that You would be with
me right now in my present challenge? Of course You are with me
and will help me. Forgive me for being so hardhearted as to forget
what You have already done for me. And I thank You right now that
You are going to help me this time too! I pray this in Jesus' name!"

My Confession for Today

"I confess that I am not forgetful of the many ways God has worked
in my life. I am mindful of His mercy and grace, and I praise Him
for it every day. I am a living testimony of His power. He is My
Redeemer, my Healer, my Deliverer, and my Provider. He is the
One who rescues me from harm and who meets my every need. I
am fully supplied in every area of my life because of the promises
God has made to me in His Word. I declare this by faith in
Jesus' name!"

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

"Our God is an awesome God. He not only defines and defeats sin;
he delivers us from the consequences of sin by forgiving our sins
and purifying us. True healing means more than just curing a sick
body -- and we praise God for the times he has done that in our
lives. No, true healing means to forgive and deliver us from what
breaks our spirits and makes our souls and bodies unhealthy. Only
God offers this "benefit" as part of his retirement package!"

My Prayer...

"How can I sufficiently praise You, Abba Father, for Your mercy
and grace that has forgiven, pardoned, and cleansed me of my sin.
Help me never to forget the joy of being forgiven and included in
Your family. Thank You for Your salvation. In Jesus' name I
praise You. Amen."
